Africa Soccer Shooting Stars Begin Training Ahead of Ghana and Morocco Friendlies

The Sierra Leone U20 national team, Shooting Stars, has officially kicked off its training sessions in Rabat, Morocco, in preparation for two high-profile international friendlies.

The team will face Ghana on Saturday, March 22, and Morocco on Tuesday, March 25, 2025—crucial matches as they gear up for the 2025 TotalEnergies U20 AFCON in Ivory Coast this April.

A total of 27 players—11 foreign-based and 16 local-based—are in camp, working under the guidance of the technical team. These friendlies will help assess the squad’s balance and strengthen team chemistry ahead of the continental tournament.

Among the standout foreign-based players already in camp are Crystal Palace U20 forward Hindolo Mustapha, Arsenal U18 winger Osman Kamara, and West Ham United U19 midfielder Aaron Kamara. Meanwhile, excitement is building around the expected arrival of PSV Eindhoven’s rising star, Isaac Babadi, who will join the squad on Saturday.

The team remains focused and determined as they prepare for these vital test matches. Sierra Leoneans at home and abroad are urged to rally behind the Shooting Stars as they aim for a strong showing in the upcoming AFCON.
