Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has expressed full confidence in the current Black Stars squad, believing they have what it takes to deliver a result that will make Ghanaians proud in their World Cup qualifier against Madagascar.
Gyan, who remains Ghana’s all-time top scorer, emphasized the importance of securing victories in every match as the team pushes for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“This is just the beginning; the most important thing is that we have the three points,” Gyan stated. “Our goal is to qualify for the World Cup. We take it game by game and see what happens.”
With the Black Stars looking to build momentum after their previous performances, Gyan believes that maintaining focus and consistency will be key. He stressed that beyond winning, the ultimate goal is to keep Ghanaians satisfied with the team’s progress.
“The most important thing is that Ghanaians are happy with the result, and we keep moving forward,” he added.
The Black Stars will be looking to prove Gyan right by delivering a strong performance against Madagascar, knowing that every point in the qualifiers brings them closer to the global stage. With the support of legends like Gyan and the nation behind them, the team is determined to make Ghana proud.
