Ghana Premier League GPL: Asante Kotoko Seize Top Spot as Ghana Premier League Title Race Heats Up

Matchday 25 of the Ghana Premier League saw Asante Kotoko rise to the top of the standings after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. A 13th-minute goal from Tenedu was enough to secure all three points for Kotoko, who continue their charge towards the league title.

Meanwhile, Medeama SC showcased their strength with a commanding 2-0 win over Aduana Stars, further solidifying their position in the league. The Tarkwa-based team delivered a dominant performance, ensuring Aduana left empty-handed.

Dreams FC also kept up their strong form, edging past Young Apostles 1-0 to remain competitive in the top half of the table.

In a thrilling encounter, Gold Stars and Hearts of Oak battled to a 1-1 draw. Gideon Anaba put Gold Stars ahead with a penalty, but a late equalizer from Stephen Appiah Asare salvaged a point for Hearts, keeping them within reach of the leaders.

With their win, Asante Kotoko now leads the table, followed closely by Bibiani Gold Stars, Heart of Lions, and Hearts of Oak. The race for the title remains wide open, with every point proving crucial in this fiercely competitive season.
