Former Accra Hearts of Oak winger Torric Jebrin has expressed his desire to continue playing football, stating that he still feels strong and motivated despite being 34 years old.
In a recent interview, the skillful midfielder reflected on his career and admitted that he didn’t get the right support and management early on, particularly when it came to handling his age.
“I’m still playing and I want to continue for the next two to three years,” he said. “Just that my age—34. I didn’t work on the age at the beginning. If I mention my age and you see me playing, you’d say, ‘No, no, I should be 22.’ I didn’t get the support or management that could manage my things well.”
Torric, once regarded as one of Ghana’s brightest prospects, made headlines as a teenager for his dazzling dribbling and creativity on the ball. His journey has seen him play in various countries including Egypt, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
Despite the challenges, he remains optimistic about extending his career and continuing to do what he loves most—playing football.
