The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team held their final training session on Friday afternoon at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola ahead of Saturday’s crucial FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup third round qualifier against Benin.
Coach Carol Kanyemba and her technical bench took charge of the lively session with the Copper Princesses fine-tuning tactical elements and building momentum for what promises to be an exciting home fixture.
Among the observers were FAZ vice president Justin Mumba, Copper Queens coach Nora Häuptle and Luapula province FAZ chairperson Mweemba Mujala, who lent their support from the sidelines as the Princesses completed their final drills.
Saturday’s fixture marks the first leg of the two-legged tie, with the return fixture scheduled for 26 April 2025 in Togo, a neutral venue for the West African side. The overall winner will secure a coveted spot at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025, set to take place in October.
