Africa Soccer LFA President Inspects Ongoing Renovation at Gompa Mini Stadium

Liberia Football Association (LFA) President Mustapha I. Raji, accompanied by Executive Committee member Tickly D. Monkoney, LFA Deputy General Secretary Mohammed A. Sheriff, and club presidents Sylvanus Morris, Chris Weah, and Ofori Nicholas, Jr., paid an inspection visit on Friday, 18 April, to the ongoing renovation works at Gompa Mini Stadium in Gompa, Nimba County.

The project, funded by FIFA through the FIFA Forward Program, commenced on November 4, 2024, and is expected to be officially dedicated soon. Key upgrades include the installation of floodlights, an underground water sprinkler system, inner fencing, and roofing for the spectator stands.

With the turf installation and pitch markings completed, works are now underway for the installation of goalposts and substitution benches. Additionally, the renovation includes upgrading the dressing rooms to meet the standards of the newly refurbished mini stadium.

Once completed, the pitch will host various LFA competitions, including grassroots football. The Gompa project is an expansion of the LFA’s infrastructure development efforts under the leadership of President Raji, with other projects currently underway.
