Thierry Henry in talks to become RB Leipzig’s next coach

Thierry Henry could soon be back in club management. According to Journal du Dimanche, RB Leipzig has entered into discussions with the French football legend to take over the team at the end of the current season.

Henry, who most recently led the French U21 squad to a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, is currently without a club and is reportedly open to the challenge.

RB Leipzig’s season has been underwhelming. Despite keeping key talents like Xavi Simons, Benjamin Sesko, and Lois Openda, the club failed to make an impact in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, which led to the dismissal of Marco Rose.

With Oliver Glasner and Cesc Fabregas also on the shortlist, Leipzig’s management is exploring bold options. Henry’s attacking mindset and proven rapport with young players align with the club’s vision—and his previous experience with New York Red Bulls has kept him in close contact with Red Bull executives. According to reports, Jürgen Klopp, now overseeing football operations for the Red Bull group, has already given his blessing to the potential move.
