AFCON-20 AFCON U20: Zambia’s Junior Chipolopolo shift base to Ismailia

The Zambia U20 Men’s National team has officially shifted base from Cairo to Ismailia as preparations intensify ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Egypt 2025, set to kick off this weekend.

The Junior Chipolopolo led by coach Boyd Mulwanda are part of 13 teams taking part in the 17th edition of the U20 AFCON. Matches will be played across three Egyptian cities of Cairo, Ismailia and Suez.

Zambia is placed in Group A alongside tournament hosts Egypt, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and southern African neighbours South Africa. The team will launch its campaign on Sunday with a crucial fixture against Sierra Leone set for 18h00.

The squad has settled in at the scenic Tolip Resort EL Forsan in Ismailia, with players and technical staff keen to hit the ground running.
