
Ghana’s U-15 boys team, The Black Comets, have booked their place in the semifinals of the ongoing 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship (ASFC) after a flawless run in the group stage.
The young Ghanaian side topped Group A in commanding fashion, winning all of their matches and showcasing the kind of flair, discipline, and determination that has defined their campaign so far. Their impressive run has now set up a high-stakes semifinal clash against Tanzania.
Tanzania secured their spot in the final four after finishing second in Group B. They edged out Côte d’Ivoire for the coveted semifinal ticket, thanks to a superior goal tally in what was a tightly contested group.
Speaking ahead of the semifinals, Coach Danso of Ghana was full of belief in his squad’s potential and reiterated the team’s ambition to lift the trophy.
“As for the ultimate [the trophy], I’ve said and I will say it again that our target is to win it and we are working towards it,” he stated.
“We can assure you that we will win the ultimate.”
With momentum on their side and confidence running high, the Black Comets will be aiming to take one step closer to continental glory when they face off with the Tanzanian side in what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
