Premier League Wolves Consign Leicester City To Relegation Oblivion

Wolverhampton Wanderers defeated already-relegated Leicester City 3-0 at Molineux on Saturday, with to goals from Matheus Cunha and assists from two others, extending their incredible winning streak to six Premier League games.

With 41 points from 34 games, Wolves’ incredible play has lifted them out of the drop zone and into 13th place, while Leicester is currently second from the bottom with 18 points.

The hosts took a well-earned lead after 33 minutes thanks to a side-footed goal from Cunha.

Jamie Vardy of Leicester missed a penalty kick as the unfortunate visitors fell to their 17th league defeat in the week the former England striker revealed he was quitting the team at the end of the season after 13 seasons.

After this season, there has been a lot of conjecture over Brazil international Cunha’s future, but he downplayed any rumours of leaving after his game-winning performance.
