Ahead of the eagerly awaited two-leg Final of the competition, the Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), in collaboration with TotalEnergies, will present a new trophy and identity for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.

On Saturday, May 24, the opening leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League Final will take place, and on Sunday, June 1, the second leg will take place in Cairo.

The two competing clubs, Pyramids FC and Mamelodi Sundowns, as well as African football icons will be present during the new trophy’s unveiling on Thursday, May 22, at the TotalEnergies offices in Johannesburg, South Africa.

African football fans can get a preview of what will be at stake during the two legs in Tshwane and Cairo over the next two weeks thanks to the unveiling’s timing, which heightens the excitement and grandeur surrounding the final.

As CAF works to improve the reputation and visibility of CAF Interclub Competitions, this event marks the beginning of a new, daring, and exciting era for African club football.

Thursday’s ceremony builds on the recent partnership renewal between CAF and TotalEnergies, which saw the big petroleum firm extending its cooperation with CAF for an additional four years.

CAF and TotalEnergies will reveal the new trophy’s design and details on the day.
