AFCON-20 AFCON U-20: Harcourt,Okoro Out Of Third Place Tie Against Egypt

In their encounter against hosts Egypt for third place in the ongoing 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria’s Flying Eagles would be missing two of their most important players, Odinaka Okoro and Ebenezer Harcourt.

An injury sustained by Ebenezer Harcourt during Nigeria’s close 1-0 semifinal loss to South Africa has kept him out of action.

Okoro will miss the encounter, however, as he was automatically suspended after being given a second yellow card in the same game.

Odinaka Okoro was able to train with the team while Harcourt recovered from his knee injury.

Hours before Morocco defeated Egypt 1-0 in the other semifinal, Nigeria was defeated.

According to the results, South Africa and Morocco will face off in the final on Sunday, while Nigeria will compete against Egypt for the bronze.

The 30 June Air Defence Stadium in Cairo will host the third-place game on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. Nigerian time). At 9:00 p.m., the final will take place.
