Victor Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray secured a 25th Turkish title with two games to spare following a 3-0 victory at Kayserispor on Sunday.

Galatasaray’s victory gave them an insurmountable eight-point lead over Fenerbahce, their bitter rivals from Istanbul who haven’t won the league in almost ten years.

With one star awarded for each of the five titles, Galatasaray will now be able to add a fifth star to their squad shirts.

With Galatasaray on 89 points and Fenerbahce, who defeated Eyupspor 2-0 on Sunday, on 81 points, the two Istanbul clubs were far ahead of the other Superlig teams this season.

With 60 points, Samsunspor is well behind in third place.

In the first half, Turkish winger Baris Alper Yilmaz scored three minutes after Nigerian attacker Victor Osimhen’s goal in the 26th minute.
