The 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League will see the Nigeria Women’s Football League champions Bayelsa Queens start their quest for a second continental appearance by competing in the WAFU B zonal qualifiers, which will take place in Ivory Coast from August 9 to August 24.
The Ghana Football Association published the West Africa Football Union Zone B’s confirmation, which confirmed the official date and location of the regional qualifications for the competition’s fifth edition.
A statement from the WAFU B Secretariat that was provided to the GFA states; “The West Africa Football Union Zone B has officially announced the date and venue for the 2025 WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament.
According to a notice from the WAFU B Secretariat, the tournament will be held in Ivory Coast from Saturday, August 9 to Sunday, August 24, 2025.”
The Prosperity Girls, also known as Bayelsa Queens, made their debut in 2022 and won the event, making them the first Nigerian team to make two appearances at the WAFU B qualifiers.
