
The Tanzanian archipelago of Zanzibar, off the coast of East Africa, will host the home-based Super Eagles’ Group B games at the 8th African Nations Championship.
Senegal, Congo, and Sudan, the cup winners, are in Group B with the host Eagles.
This year’s African Nations Championship is a mandatory dress rehearsal for Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, the three East African countries that were jointly granted the hosting rights for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals.

The competition is scheduled for August 2–30.
The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s interior, will host the tournament’s first encounter, while the Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, will host the third and fourth games, the Confederation of African Football announced Thursday.
The Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, will host the final game on Saturday, August 30.
Congo has returned to Nigeria’s group B after Equatorial Guinea was disqualified from the competition due to a CAF Appeals Committee decision.
After defeating Ghana 3-1 on aggregate in their qualifying match in December of last year, the Super Eagles B, who also won a bronze medal in South Africa in 2014, advanced to this year’s finals.

GROUP B: Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic (Dar es Salaam)
GROUP C: Uganda, Niger, Guinea, South Africa, Algeria (Kampala)
