Uganda Ugandan Premier League: SC Villa announce Nemanja Milincic as new coach

SC Villa have announced the appointment of Nemanja Milincic as the club’s new head coach.

Milincic officially starts his duties after replacing Morley Byekwaso who was let go on Thursday. The details of his agreement in terms of longevity of the contract have not been made public.

He becomes the fourth Serbian to take charge of the Jogoos after Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic (2001-2004), Srdan Zivjnov (2011/12) and Dusan Stojanovic (2023/24).

Milincic said: “I am honoured and thrilled to join SC Villa, a club with such a rich history and dedicated fan base. I know expectations are high and am committed to delivering success and making our supporters proud.”

We believe he is the right person to lead our team to new heights both domestically and on the continental stage.”

Nemanja Milincic is a 37-year old who holds a UEFA A coaching license although he has previously mainly worked as a match analyst in his 10-year career so far with a few jobs where he was been coach.

His most recent job was with Nepradak FC where he worked as assistant for 90 days between December 2024 & March 2025.

He also worked as assistant to the National Team of Bulgaria for a period of 462 days between July 2021 & October 2023. His other jobs include working as a match analyst at Red Star Belgrade, Al Ettifaq, AEK Athens, the Serbia National Team and Al Ahli.

He was also assistant coach with the Serbia U-19 team, FC Koper and OFK Beograd where his career started in 2014.
