Nations FC have expressed keen interest in signing former Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams, who is currently a free agent and drawing attention from clubs abroad.
The 22-year-old departed Hearts of Oak earlier this year after the club opted against extending his contract. The decision came after prolonged negotiations with the player and his camp — a delay the club reportedly interpreted as a sign of disrespect and a lack of discipline, prompting management to pull the plug on any extension talks.
Adams joined Hearts of Oak in 2021 and showed early promise, which earned him a loan move to Major League Soccer side FC Cincinnati. However, he struggled to break into the first team in the U.S. and returned to Ghana to feature in the second half of the 2023/24 season.
Now unattached, the talented midfielder has emerged as a top target for Nations FC, who have already initiated discussions with his representatives. The club is hopeful of reaching an agreement soon as they look to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
Despite Nations FC’s strong interest, Adams is also reportedly in talks with two unnamed clubs from Canada and Israel. He is currently assessing his options with a decision expected in the coming weeks. Nations FC will be eager to win the race for his signature.
