Burnley are actively exploring striker options this summer, with Genk’s Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare emerging as a player under consideration.

Sources indicate that new manager Scott Parker is keen to bolster his attacking ranks following the club’s return to the Premier League. Arokodare, 24, has impressed in Belgium with his powerful presence and eye for goal, making him an attractive target for the Clarets as they prepare for a premier League campaign.

The Nigerian striker netted 15 goals across all competitions last season and has been tracked by several clubs in Europe. Burnley’s recruitment team view Arokodare’s physical style and finishing ability as a good fit for Parker’s system.

While no formal bid has been lodged yet, initial discussions are believed to have taken place, with Genk potentially open to negotiations for the right fee. Burnley, however, are mindful of Financial Fair Play constraints and will weigh their options carefully before making a move.

Arokodare joined Genk from French side Amiens in 2023 and has since boosted his reputation in the Belgian Pro League. His potential arrival at Turf Moor would inject fresh firepower into Burnley’s frontline as Parker looks to assemble a squad capable of challenging for glory in the Premier League.
