KCCA FC is delighted to announce the signing of highly rated striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe, affectionately known as “The Hunter,” on a two-year contract. The prolific forward joins the Kasasiro Boys from URA FC, marking KCCA FC’s first major acquisition of the summer transfer window.
Ahimbisibwe’s arrival signals a strong statement of intent from the 13-time league champions as they aim to bolster their attacking prowess and challenge for top honors in the upcoming seasons.
“Our first signing is locked in,” KCCA FC confirmed, followed by Ahimbisibwe’s confident message to the fans: “Hello, Cityzens! My name is Ivan Ahimbisibwe, the Hunter, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Ahimbisibwe comes to Lugogo on the back of an outstanding 2024/2025 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season, where he netted an impressive 16 goals for URA FC, finishing just three goals shy of the Golden Boot winner.
The move also sees a reunion between Ahimbisibwe and KCCA FC’s co-head coach, Brian Ssenyondo. The pair previously worked together at Synergy FC, where Ahimbisibwe began his career, and later at UPDF FC. The club expects this existing relationship between player and coach to lead to a smooth transition for the striker, enabling him to quickly integrate into the team’s system.
Ahimbisibwe’s career path shows a steady rise through Ugandan football. After making a name for himself at Synergy FC as the club’s all-time leading scorer with 48 goals in 3 seasons, he moved to Nyamityobora FC, where he scored 18 goals in one season.
