The Copper Queens were back in training on Thursday evening at the Academie FUS in Rabat as part of their final preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 (to be played in 2025).
The team is scheduled to have its final training session today (Friday) ahead of their opening Group A fixture against tournament hosts Morocco, set for 22h00 CAT at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
The Thursday session included tactical work and match preparations, with the coaching staff putting final touches on strategy ahead of the opening match.
The Copper Queens are in Group A alongside Morocco, Senegal and DR Congo. Following their match against the hosts, Zambia will face Senegal on 9 July and wrap up the group phase against DR Congo on 12 July. The remaining two matches will be played at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammédia.
