Mafumu said: “I feel excited because I believe Lugazi FC is the right place for developing my career. The club has a strong vision, and I feel like I can grow here as a player and help the team achieve great things.
“I’m strong both in attack and defense. I’m good at delivering accurate crosses, making clean interceptions, and helping the team transition quickly from defense to attack. These abilities allow me to support the team in keeping shape, creating scoring chances, and stopping opponents effectively. I believe I can contribute to both sides of the game and help the team stay balanced and competitive,” he added.
Mafumu spent three campaigns at Express after joining from their junior side in 2020 but lost his starting position to both Herbert Achai and Hakim Wandera in the second round of last season The club also confirmed the appointment of Francis Mugerwa as a co-coach joining Steven Bogere’s coaching staff.
