Leone Stars received a morale boost on Tuesday, September 22, as Sierra Leoneโs Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, ๐๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ข ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐๐ฎ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ๐, visited the team ahead of their opening ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ข๐๐ซ against Zimbabwe on Thursday.
Ambassador Koroma formally welcomed the Leone Stars delegation to Morocco and assured the team of the Embassyโs support throughout their stay in the Kingdom.
He also acknowledged the positive developments taking place within Sierra Leonean football under the leadership of ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐, noting that the emergence of new structures is an encouragement for Government to continue supporting the growth of the game.
Addressing the players, the Ambassador reminded them of the honour and responsibility that comes with wearing the green, white and blue of Sierra Leone, urging them to proudly represent the nation and give their best on the pitch.
Responding on behalf of the team, ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ thanked Ambassador Koroma for the visit and the moral support. He assured him that the players and technical team remain fully committed to the nationโs objective of securing qualification for the ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐.
The visit provided an added sense of national support and encouragement for Leone Stars as preparations continue for Thursdayโs crucial encounter with Zimbabwe in El Jadida.
