Gambia national team forward Yankuba Minteh has arrived in Banjul from his base in the UK to cheer up the Scorpions in their first leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Afcon PAMOJA 2027 Qualifiers at home against Somalia on Friday.
The Brighton forward, who is sidelined due to injury boosted up the Scorpions on their final day of training at the Independence Stadium when he showed up alongside former international and team Ambassador Seyfo Soley.
Meanwhile, GFF President Kemo Ceesay announced the inclusion of former Gambian international Seyfo Soley as an Ambassador for the Senior National Team, the Scorpions, going forward.
Ceesay made the announcement during his visit to the team’s camp at the Coco Ocean Resort in Bijilo. He remarked that the veteran player has been identified by his executive committee to transfer his experience and positive character to the senior national team.
President Ceesay was accompanied to the team’s camp by the Minister of Youth and Sports Honourable Bakary Y Badjie, GFF Second Vice President Bakary Bojang, Third Vice President Demba Conateh, and General Secretary, Lamin M Jassey.
