The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is pleased to share a congratulatory message from FIFA President Gianni Infantino to the champions of the Gambian league, Medina United FC.
In a letter addressed to the GFF President, Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo, dated 20 August 2026, President Infantino extended his heartiest congratulations to Medina United FC on their achievement.
“By means of this letter, I am pleased to congratulate the recently crowned champions of The Gambia, Medina United FC! Their constant efforts and results throughout the season have paid off, resulting in this important title. Congratulations to every member of the team for this great achievement,” the FIFA chief said in his letter.
The FIFA President also took the opportunity to thank the GFF, adding: “While thanking you and your Federation for your continuous support, work, and dedication for the development of football in your country, I look forward, dear President, to seeing you again soon.”
The GFF joins the FIFA President in celebrating this significant milestone for Medina United FC and appreciates FIFA’s continued partnership in developing football in The Gambia.
