Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has been rewarded for a remarkable 2025/26 campaign after earning a place in the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Team of the Year.

Semenyo enjoyed the most prolific season of his career, scoring 21 goals and providing six assists across all competitions as he played a key role in a trophy-laden campaign.

The Ghanaian forward helped his side lift both the FA Cup and EFL Cup, while also producing a defining moment in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Semenyo became the first Ghanaian player in history to score in an FA Cup final, finding the net to give his side a 1-0 victory over Chelsea. His decisive performance earned him the FA Cup Final Man of the Match award.

His 21-goal haul also saw him set another historic benchmark. Semenyo became the highest-scoring Ghanaian player for an English club in a single season, surpassing previous records with his outstanding attacking output.

With 21 goals, six assists and two major domestic trophies to his name, Semenyo’s inclusion in the PFA Team of the Year caps a landmark campaign and further underlines his growing status among the Premier League’s leading attacking players.

For Ghana, his achievements also represent a significant milestone, with Semenyo continuing to make history at the highest level of English football.
