FIFA has officially confirmed Nigeria’s 21-player squad for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, with the Falconets set to battle some of the world’s best young female footballers at the tournament scheduled to hold from September 5 to 27.
Head coach Moses Aduku will lead a squad drawn largely from the Nigeria Women’s Football League, alongside two overseas-based players, as Nigeria targets another strong outing on the global stage.
The squad includes three goalkeepers, six defenders, three midfielders and nine forwards, reflecting the attacking depth available to the Falconets ahead of the competition.
Edo Queens are among the biggest contributors to the team, providing several players across different positions, including goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma, defenders Tumininu Fatimoh Adeshina and Rebecca Folashade Adegbemile, midfielder Kafayat Oluwatosin Mafisere, as well as forwards Mary Mamudu and Precious Chiemerie Oscar.
The attacking department will also feature SL Benfica forward Janet Seimeyeha Akekoromowei and Amber Ogbolu of Oregon State University in the United States.

With the squad now officially confirmed by FIFA, attention will shift to the Falconets’ preparations as they seek to make Nigeria proud at one of the biggest youth football competitions in the world.
Nigeria has a proud history at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, having produced several outstanding performances and players over the years.
The 2026 squad will be hoping to continue that tradition when the tournament kicks off in Poland on September 5.
