Siwelele FC have relieved head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and his assistant Willem Jackson of their first team duties following a disappointing start to the 2026/27 season.
The club announced the decision on Monday morning, confirming that the technical setup of the senior team will undergo a review as Siwelele look to address their early season struggles.
“Following a disappointing start to the 2026/27 season, Siwelele FC has relieved head coach Lehlohonolo Seema and assistant coach Willem Jackson of their first-team duties while the club conducts a review of the senior team’s performance and technical programme,” the club said in a statement.
Godfrey Mosoetsa has been appointed caretaker coach with immediate effect and will take charge of the first team while the review is conducted.
Siwelele acknowledged the difficult period facing the club and apologised to supporters for the team’s performances, while insisting that its long term ambitions remain unchanged.
“This has been a challenging period for the club, and our supporters deserve better than what they have seen so far this season,” the club said.
“Our belief in this team, in our players and in what we are building at Siwelele remains unchanged.”
The club called on its players and supporters to remain united as it seeks to turn around its fortunes, stressing that the season is still in its early stages.
Siwelele said a further announcement on the coaching structure for the remainder of the campaign will be made after the review has been completed.
