Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that Mohammed Kudus is still working towards full fitness ahead of the club’s EFL Cup clash with Liverpool.
De Zerbi revealed that Kudus, along with Mat Fernandez and Conor Gallagher, is not yet in his best physical condition as Tottenham prepare for the important cup encounter.
“Kudus can play number 10, more offensive,” De Zerbi said, highlighting the Ghana international’s versatility and attacking qualities.
The Italian coach added that his team selection will be guided by the strengths of his players, with the intention of putting them in positions where they can make the biggest impact.
“The idea is to use the characteristics of the players in the first eleven,” De Zerbi explained.
