The University for Development Studies (UDS) have successfully retained their African University Football Championship title after defeating Julius Nyerere University 2–1 in the final.
UDS produced another impressive performance on the continental stage to secure back-to-back championship triumphs and reaffirm their status as African university football champions.
The Ghanaian representatives held their nerve in a closely contested final, scoring twice to overcome their opponents and claim a 2–1 victory.
The triumph means UDS have successfully defended the crown they won previously, adding another major achievement to their growing football pedigree.
Their latest success also extends Ghana’s presence at the summit of African university football, with UDS once again returning home as champions of Africa.
