South African Premier Soccer League side Richards Bay are set to appoint Dimitar Pantev as their new head coach, with the deal understood to have been agreed between the two parties.
Pantev is expected to sign a contract running until the end of the current season, with an option to extend his stay beyond the initial agreement.
The coach is currently on his way to South Africa from Botswana alongside his agent as he prepares to complete the final formalities ahead of his expected appointment.
Pantev brings considerable experience of African football to Richards Bay, having previously coached Botswana clubs Jwaneng Galaxy and Gaborone United, as well as Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
Richards Bay are yet to officially confirm the appointment, but Pantev is expected to take charge once the formalities are completed, with the club looking to begin a new chapter under the experienced coach.
