Egyptian authorities have approved 40,000 spectators for the clash, while ticket sales have opened ahead of the encounter. Local fans aim to create a “sea of red” inside Cairo Stadium as the seven-time African champions look to take early control of their group.
Egypt will then travel to face South Sudan on September 29 in their second qualifying match. The two fixtures will launch a busy international window for the Pharaohs as they begin their campaign to reach AFCON 2027.
