David Pagou has managed Cameroon seven times since taking charge of the Indomitable Lions on December 1, 2025. The Cameroonian coach has recorded four wins, one draw and two defeats during his first months in charge, including a run to the quarter-finals of the 2026 AFCON.
Cameroon opened their AFCON campaign with a 1–1 draw against Ivory Coast before beating Gabon 1–0, Mozambique 2–1 and South Africa 2–1. Morocco then ended their run with a 2–0 victory in the quarter-finals. During the FIFA Series, Cameroon lost 1–0 to Australia before responding with a 2–0 win over China.
Pagou will now look to build on that record during the next international window. Cameroon will face Comoros on September 24 before meeting Congo on September 29. These two matches will give the coach another opportunity to develop his team and strengthen his position with the Indomitable Lions.
