Sporting Lagos head coach Jeffery Buter has been invited by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to substantiate allegations of collusion involving the EUROMATCHNPFL management and the Nigeria Referees Association.
Buter is expected to appear before a panel on Wednesday at the NPFL meeting room, following allegations he reportedly made concerning the outcome of Sporting Lagos’ match against Ikorodu City.
The coach has been formally asked to provide evidence to support the allegations, which were published across several social media platforms.
The invitation gives Buter an opportunity to present any information or documentation in his possession that could substantiate his claims of an alleged attempt to influence the outcome of the fixture.
The development comes amid continued efforts by the NPFL to ensure transparency, integrity and fairness in the league.
The outcome of Wednesday’s appearance could determine the next steps by the league authorities regarding the allegations.
Buter’s case is expected to attract significant attention as the NPFL continues to strengthen its disciplinary and integrity mechanisms during the 2026/27 season.
