Ghana may soon learn the identity of its next head coach. The five-member committee established to identify and recommend a successor to Carlos Queiroz is due to submit its report to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation on October 9.
This deadline follows the departure of the Portuguese coach, who stepped down after the Black Stars poor start in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Ghana lost its first two matches against Ivoy Coast and The Gambia.
The committee will therefore need to propose a candidate capable of turning around a team that currently sits last in Group C with zero points.
The future head coach’s first task will be to prepare for the two matches against Somalia scheduled for November.
Queiroz led Ghana in seven matches, recording one win, two draws, and four losses.
