Bechem United produced a spirited comeback to defeat Vision FC 4-2 in a thrilling Ghana Premier League Matchday 6 encounter at Bechem Park.

The entertaining contest delivered six goals, dramatic momentum swings and a late flourish from the home side, who recovered from surrendering their first-half advantage to claim all three points.

Emmanuel Kobi gave Bechem United the lead in the 39th minute, putting the hosts in front before the break. However, Vision FC came out firing in the second half and turned the game around within seven minutes.

Benjamin Kwarteng restored parity in the 47th minute before Ruben Quaye struck in the 52nd minute to hand Vision FC a 2-1 advantage, leaving Bechem United with work to do.

The home side responded with determination, and Yaw Acheampong brought them back on level terms in the 63rd minute to set up a tense final quarter of the match.

With the contest finely balanced, Bechem United found another gear late on. Kofi Tompuo struck in the 87th minute to restore the hosts’ lead, putting them on course for a valuable victory.

Vision FC’s hopes of salvaging a point were extinguished in the third minute of stoppage time when Sam-an Mohammed scored an own goal, completing Bechem United’s 4-2 triumph.

The victory represents an important boost for Bechem United as they seek to build momentum in the league, while Vision FC will be disappointed to have surrendered their advantage and left Bechem Park empty-handed.

The result lifts Bechem United to seventh place with 10 points from six matches, having recorded three wins, one draw and two defeats. They have scored eight goals and conceded eight, leaving them with a goal difference of zero.

Vision FC, meanwhile, remain 15th with six points after six matches. Their record stands at one win, three draws and two defeats, with eight goals scored and nine conceded.

Bechem United will look to build on this victory in their next fixture, while Vision FC face the task of regrouping and improving their results to move away from the lower end of the standings.
