Manchester United and Arsenal Monitor Newcastle’s £42m Ivorian Starlet Bazoumana Touré

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Newcastle United winger Bazoumana Touré following the Ivorian’s impressive start to life at St. James’ Park. The 20 year old has quickly attracted attention from rival Premier League clubs despite joining the Magpies only in the summer transfer window.

Touré completed a reported £42 million move from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim in July 2026 and has wasted little time making his mark in English football. The Ivory Coast international scored on his first start in the EFL Cup during Newcastle’s 3-2 victory over West Bromwich Albion before opening his Premier League account against Leeds United on September 14. He has recorded two goals in his first five appearances for the club.

The winger’s explosive pace, direct dribbling and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations have reportedly caught the attention of Manchester United and Arsenal. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be interested in strengthening his wide attacking options, while United have continued monitoring the youngster after tracking his progress at Hoffenheim, where he registered five goals and 12 assists. Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa were also previously linked with the Ivorian.

However, Newcastle are understood to view Touré as an important part of their long term project and are under no immediate pressure to sell. Having invested heavily to secure his signature, the Magpies would likely demand a substantial fee before considering any approach from their Premier League rivals. His continued development in England could further increase his value as interest in the promising winger grows.
