Liberia FA continues with integrity workshop on day two

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) continued its Integrity Workshop on Tuesday, 20 October, at its headquarters, equipping football stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to combat match-fixing, and other threats to the integrity of the game. The workshop runs through Thursday, October 22.

Day two brought together Second Division clubs and match officials as part of the LFA’s ongoing commitment to promoting ethical conduct, strengthening accountability and safeguarding the credibility of football in Liberia.

The sessions featured presentations from four facilitators. Stephen Kafi addressed match manipulation, while Farmah S. Kamara discussed whistleblower protection and mechanisms. Charles Masah examined the intersection of organized crime, modern technology and systemic vulnerabilities, while Cllr. Benedict A. Yarsiah focused on the legal frameworks governing manipulation and football integrity.

The workshop reinforces the shared responsibility of players, referees, match commissioners and club administrators to uphold the principles of fair play, promote accountability and protect the game from practices that threaten its credibility and development.
