Osimhen Returns to Full Training, Set for Galatasaray Comeback

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has returned to full training with Galatasaray, boosting the club’s hopes ahead of a crucial league fixture this weekend.

The Nigerian forward had been sidelined after suffering an arm injury during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC last month.

Following the incident, Osimhen underwent surgery and has since been on the road to recovery.

Encouraging signs emerged on Wednesday as the 27-year-old was spotted training with his teammates, although his injured arm was still heavily bandaged.

His return to group sessions signals a significant step forward in his rehabilitation.

Osimhen is now expected to make his comeback when Galatasaray take on Gençlerbirliği on Saturday, a game that could prove pivotal in their title push.

The Yellow and Reds have felt the absence of their talisman, managing just one win in three league outings, with two defeats denting their momentum.

The dip in form has tightened the title race, with only two points now separating Okan Buruk’s side from fierce rivals Fenerbahçe.

Before his injury setback, Osimhen had been in scintillating form, registering 19 goals and five assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.

His imminent return is expected to provide a timely attacking boost as Galatasaray look to regain control at the top of the table.
