Florentino Pérez fuels uncertainty over Real Madrid coach

Florentino Pérez has added fresh uncertainty to the search for Real Madrid’s next coach after making surprising comments during an interview with Spanish television. While several reports in recent days strongly linked José Mourinho with a return to the Santiago Bernabéu, the Real Madrid president revealed that he currently has two names in mind for the position and insisted that no final decision has been made yet.

The Spanish businessman, who remains the favorite to win the upcoming presidential election on June 7, admitted that Mourinho represents a strong option for the club but refused to officially confirm any agreement with the Portuguese manager.

Despite Pérez’s comments, Spanish and Portuguese media continue to report that Mourinho, Real Madrid, and Benfica have already reached an understanding regarding the coach’s potential arrival for a reported fee of 15 million euros. The uncertainty surrounding the future bench of Los Blancos therefore continues to dominate headlines in Spain.
