Soccer: Mimbang set for long-term move to AS Saint-Etienne

French Ligue 2 club AS Saint-Etienne is set to welcome a promising new signing straight from Cameroon.

David Mimbang, a U17 international midfielder, is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Saint-Etienne club.

Trained at the prestigious Ecole de Football des Brasseries du Cameroun (EFBC), the young talent is taking a major step forward by joining Ligue 2 BKT.

This signing confirms ASSE’s commitment to investing in post-academy development and unearthing talent from the African continent.

By securing Mimbang on a long-term deal, Les Verts hope to polish a rough diamond who has already made a name for himself with his performances for the national youth team.

The young Cameroonian midfielder is expected to arrive in Forez, France, in the coming days to finalize the last details of his contract.
