Minnaert leaves Vipers despite delivering title No.8

Despite guiding Vipers to their eighth league title, Jacky Ivan Minnaert and Vipers have mutually parted ways.

The Belgian has spent one season with the Venoms after joining in July last year and led them to the league championship for the eighth time and also the semi-final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup

“Vipers Sports Club is pleased to announce that it has mutually parted ways with head coach, Ivan Minnaert, after the expiry of his contract…,” read part of the statement by Vipers.

“The club appreciates Minnaert’s dedicated service and professionalism to Vipers SC and wishes him the best in his career path.”

He becomes the second head coach after Simon Peter Mugerwa to leave a premier league after conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
