2026 FIFA World Cup: Ndiaye stands firm before France match

With Senegal preparing to face France, Iliman Ndiaye reopened the conversation surrounding the last AFCON final against Morocco.

In an interview with France Football, the Everton forward explained that, regardless of the administrative decisions made after the match, he still believes the Lions of Teranga won the trophy on the field.

The Senegalese player specifically mentioned a peculiar atmosphere surrounding the final, stating that he felt a deep sense of injustice throughout the match.

According to him, several on-field incidents and refereeing decisions caused confusion within the Senegalese squad.

Despite the CAF Appeals Committee’s decision to ultimately award the victory to Morocco on a technicality, Ndiaye remains convinced that the sporting truth is what was seen on the field.
