2026 FIFA WORLD CUP: Andre Ayew Rallies Black Stars Ahead of Panama Clash: “One Nation, One Team, One Dream”

Andre Ayew has delivered an inspiring message to his teammates ahead of Ghana’s opening Group L fixture against Panama at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, urging the squad to remain united, fearless and focused as they embark on their campaign.

In a motivational address released before the Black stars first match, Ayew reminded the players of the significance of representing Ghana on football’s biggest stage.

“As you prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, know that an entire nation stands behind you. You wear more than a jersey. You carry the hopes, dreams, pride, and spirit of millions of Ghanaians at home and across the world,” he said.

The veteran forward called on the squad to trust in their abilities and the hard work that earned them a place at the global showpiece.

“Believe in yourselves. Believe in your talent. Believe in the work that brought you here. You have earned your place on football’s biggest stage. Play with courage. Play with discipline. Play with heart. Fight for every ball, every minute, for every teammate beside you.”

Ayew also stressed the importance of resilience, acknowledging that challenges are inevitable during a World Cup campaign but insisting that unity will be key to Ghana’s success.

“Difficult moments will come. Challenges will come. But champions are not made in comfort—they are made in unity and resolve when it matters most. Win, draw, or lose, one game does not define a team. Your character, resilience, and unity do. Stay united. Stay focused. Stay fearless. One nation. One team. One dream.”

The message comes as Ghana finalize preparations for their Group L opener against Panama, a match that could prove crucial in shaping the Black Stars’ path to the knockout stages. With the hopes of millions resting on their shoulders, Ayew’s rallying call is expected to serve as a source of motivation as Ghana seek a positive start to their World Cup journey.
