Lugazi appoint ex-BUL coach Kikomeko

Lugazi have confirmed the appointment of Abbey Kikomeko as their new head coach. The former BUL FC and Busoga United tactician was handed a two-year contract and will announce his backroom staff.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Abbey Kikomeko Bogere as the head coach of the senior men’s team,” he told the club website.

“He begins his duties immediately having signed a two-year contract with the Leaders. His backroom staff will be communicated in the due process,” the website added.

Kikomeko is a winner who led BUL to back-to-back FUFA Super 8 trophies in 2023 and 2024, and a historic second place finish in the 2023/24 season. Speaking to the club website, Kikomeko said; “I feel excited after being appointed the Lugazi FC head coach. It’s a good club with good facilities, and very organised.

I have been tasked to lead this team to good and respectable positions in the league, and I am going to do exactly that. That’s not something difficult to do.”

Kikomeko holds a CAF A coaching license, and has a strong track record of developing young talents.
