After Arthur Masuaku, RC Lens announced on Tuesday the departure of Malang Sarr. At the end of his contract with the Artois club, the 27-year-old defender chose not to continue the adventure despite several extension proposals.
After a solid season in which he played 39 matches across all competitions, the Nice-trained player played an active role in Lens’s run.
In its statement, RC Lens paid tribute to its defender, praising his dedication and his role in the club’s historic season, before wishing him every success.
Now a free agent, Sarr could quickly land a new deal in Saudi Arabia, where several clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation.
