Ismael Saibari joins Bayern Munich in €55m deal

Ismael Saibari has completed a high-profile move from PSV Eindhoven to Bayern Munich in a transfer worth €55 million. The Moroccan attacking midfielder signed a contract until June 2031 and will join the German champions after completing his 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with Morocco. Bayern will hand the 25-year-old the number 34 shirt as the club strengthens its attacking options.

Ismael Saibari earned this move after an outstanding season with PSV Eindhoven, where he scored 19 goals and provided nine assists in 37 matches. He has also impressed at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring three goals to help Morocco reach the Round of 16. His performances convinced Bayern Munich to invest heavily, making him the fifth most expensive signing in the club’s history.

Bayern Munich believes Ismael Saibari will add creativity, versatility, and unpredictability to its attack. Sporting director Max Eberl praised the club’s long-term planning and explained that Bayern identified the Moroccan international early before presenting him with a clear sporting project.

PSV Eindhoven also benefits from a record sale, while Saibari now prepares to continue his World Cup adventure before beginning a new chapter in Germany.
