Express have appointed former Uganda Cranes CHAN team coach Morley Byekwaso as their new head coach replacing Jimmy Kintu who moved to URA.
The former KCCA, SC Villa and SC Victoria University tactician was unveiled by the club ahead of the 2026/27 season. Byekwaso, who also played for the Red Eagles in mid 2000s has been without a coaching job since partying company with SC Villa at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
“I am honoured to lead this special club,” said Byekwaso upon his unveiling.Together, we believe, we will fight and build something special in this club. We respect Express Mukwano Gwabangi, Square Pass Moto. I can’t wait to see the fans in the stands,” he added.
He will be assisted by experienced Edward Kaziba who has not coached in topflight for some years now after he left SC Villa.
