Burkina Faso needs a win tonight against South Africa in the third and final match of the group stage of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations to advance to the quarterfinals.
It’s a difficult but not impossible task against the South African giants, who have advanced past the group stage in their last four appearances.
Burkina Faso is still seeking its first-ever quarterfinal berth.
“We have the opportunity to continue making history for our country Burkina Faso. It would mean so much to us as a team and for our fans if we win this match. We’re ready and determined to earn three points,” said Alimata Belem, a Burkinabe defender, at a pre-match press conference.
The match will be broadcast in Burkina Faso on national television, RTB.
In South Africa, the match will be shown on SABC and Supersport.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. GMT.
