Nigeria’s Super Falcons will return to full training on Monday evening as they intensify preparations for their decisive Group C match against Egypt at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Head coach Justine Madugu will oversee the training session at the ASFAR Training Centre in Rabat, where the team is expected to fine-tune its tactics ahead of Wednesday’s must-win encounter.
The players had observed a light recovery session on Sunday following their hard-earned 1-0 victory over Zambia.
An early goal from Asisat Oshoala secured Nigeria’s first win of the tournament, despite the Super Falcons playing the entire second half with 10 players after Oluwatosin Demehin was sent off before the break.
The victory revived Nigeria’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals after their opening 3-2 defeat to Malawi.
The nine-time African champions will now be aiming to secure maximum points against Egypt to book a place in the knockout stage and strengthen their position in Group C.
Egypt head into the match after back-to-back defeats to Zambia and Malawi, while the Super Falcons are chasing a strong finish to the group phase as they continue their bid for a record-extending 11th WAFCON title.
