Egyptian football legend Mohamed Aboutrika has praised Arsenal’s players for the passion they have shown on the pitch, drawing inspiration from a philosophy shared by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Aboutrika referenced comments made by Guardiola in a Manchester City documentary, where the Spanish tactician stressed the importance of passion in football.
“Guardiola said in the City documentary film: ‘If you don’t do the thing with passion, you will lose a lot,’” Aboutrika said.
The former Al Ahly and Egypt star believes Arsenal have demonstrated that same level of passion in their performances, highlighting the commitment and intensity of the Gunners’ players.
“And we see this passion in Arsenal players,” he added.
